/poll Slash Command

If you are a fan of slash command, this guide will show you how to use the /poll

Tips

To use a slash command, simply type / in the message field in Slack, followed by the command name. For example /botimum to see your dashboard.

/poll

Syntax

/poll [question] [option1] [option2] [option3] ...

• question: The optional question or topic for your poll. Ex. What would be the title of your Netflix documentary?
• option1, option2, option3, …: The options for the poll.

Example:

/poll What would be the title of your Netflix documentary? The Last Dance, The Last Dance 2, The Last Dance 3

Shortcuts

To turn your message into a poll, you can use the following shortcuts:

• Create a poll: this will create a poll with the message content as the question. We use GenAI to generate the options.
• Create a yes/no poll: this will create a poll with the message content as the question and the options as Yes and No.
