Botimum is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) sets out how we collect and process personal information about you when you visit our website at botimum.com, when you use our products and services (via our Slack bot, or otherwise) (our “Services”), or when you otherwise do business or make contact with us.

Please read this policy carefully to understand how we handle and treat your personal information.

What data do we collect?

Botimum collects data to enable it to operate the Services effectively, and to provide you with the best experiences on our web sites and our Services. You provide some of this data to us directly, such as when you register to use our Services (whether directly through us, or indirectly through Slack), subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, make an enquiry through our website, contact us for support, or contact us as a prospective customer, vendor, supplier, or consultant. We get some of your data by recording how you interact with our website and our Services by, for example, using technologies like cookies. We also obtain and process data in the context of providing the Services.

The data we collect depends on the context of your interactions with Botimum, the choices you make (including your privacy settings), and the Services you use. The data we collect can include the following:

  • User data We may collect your first and last name, profile picture URL, email address,company information, and other similar contact data. We may also colect data that you submit to Botimum while using the Services or the website

This also includes your interactions on our website, and your interactions with us via email. We may also collect data about your device and the network you use to connect to our Services. This may include data about the operating system and other software installed on your device, including product keys. How long data is kept?

User data is retained as long as you are using our Services and automatically delete them within 90 days after you remove Botimum bot from Slack, except to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Analytics Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. Your financial information (e.g. credit cards) is never stored on our servers.

How an individual can request ot access, transfer, or delete their data

You can view, access, edit, or delete of your personal data for many aspects of the Services. How you can access and control your personal data will depend on which Services you use.

You can opt out from receiving marketing communications from us by using the opt-out link on the communication.

  • Data Erasure: You can request that Botimum delete your personal data by sending an email to hi@botimum.com with “Please delete my personal data” in the subject line. Botimum will verify your ability to access that email, then delete the personal data associated with your email address. We will use reasonable efforts to respond to your request within 14 days, but in all events within 90 days of our receipt of the request. Please note that we retain billing and usage metadata about a company or individual as required for compliance with law and regulation. Removing Botimum from your Slack workspace is a prerequisite for complete deletion of your data.
  • Data Correction: You can modify your personal data by sending an email to hi@botimum.com with “Please update my personal data” in the subject line. Botimum will verify your ability to access that email, then update the fields where possible within the Services. We will use reasonable efforts to respond to your request within 14 days, but in all events within 90 days of our receipt of the request.
  • Data takeout: You can request to takeout your data stored at Botium by sending an email to hi@botimum.com with "Please takeout my personal data" in the subject line, Botimum will verify your ability to access that email, then export all your data that are stored at Botimum and send it back to you by email. We will use reasonable efforts to respond to your request within 30 days, but in all events within 90 days of our receipt of the request.
  • Your Communications Preferences: You can choose whether you wish to receive marketing communications from us. If you receive marketing communications from us and would like to opt out, you can do so by following the directions in that communication. Please note that these choices do not apply to mandatory communications that are part of the Services, or to surveys or other informational communications that have their own unsubscribe method.

Tracking & Cookies Data

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information.

Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Service.

Disclosure Of Data

Business Transaction: If Botimum is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Disclosure for Law Enforcement: Under certain circumstances, Botimum may be required to disclose your data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 (“Children”).

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
